The Excalibur 2 is based on advanced multi-frequency technology and uses 17 different frequencies simultaneously in combination with Minelab's proprietary BBS technology. This enables precise metal discrimination in DISC mode, where metals can be seamlessly masked or highlighted.

This metal detector is waterproof to an impressive 60 meters, making it almost indispensable for underwater searchers and the most popular underwater detector on the market. Thanks to its pulse induction technology, this Metalldetektoren is less susceptible to interference signals.

The included 25 cm / 10" searchcoil provides optimal depth performance and metal discrimination, both on land and underwater. With the single or multi-tone output, you have the option of either displaying all metal types with the same tone or differentiating between iron, gold and silver.

BBS technology

Thanks to BBS (Broad Band Spectrum) technology, the detector transmits, receives and analyzes a broad band of several frequencies simultaneously. This ensures a remarkable depth of detection, high sensitivity and precise discrimination for different target types. Compared to single frequency technologies, this wide frequency band provides the detector electronics with more information about the target and the environment. The detector performs advanced signal processing on these frequencies, resulting in improved target identification accuracy and greater depth range. In addition, false signals from soil minerals are significantly reduced, even in challenging and variable conditions such as salty beaches.
